That is an unusual thing for a recommendation site to lead with. We think it is the most useful thing we can tell you.
Why an agency writes a shopping guide
Most “best of” lists are assembled by writers who have never run a store. They compare feature tables, skim reviews, and rank whatever ranks. It is fast, and it is usually wrong in the ways that matter after you have placed an order.
We spend our working days inside eCommerce platforms — Shopify, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Epicor — handling migrations, catalogs, pricing rules, and checkout. We see which suppliers keep accurate inventory, which ones answer the phone when a shipment is wrong, and which storefronts quietly break on mobile.
So when we say a store is well built or a supplier is dependable, it comes from having seen the machinery, not the marketing.

Beau Dega is a publication, not a person. There is no lone reviewer in a warehouse somewhere — the guides are researched and written by the commerce team at InteractOne, the same people who build and maintain stores for a living.
We chose a name rather than a byline because the useful expertise here is collective: a developer notices different things than a merchandiser, who notices different things than the person who fields support tickets.
